I did the dealer thing for a gas cap, Wilkinson International in Woodland CA about twenty miles and 40 minutes after work from me. $14 + $5 shipping (to lazy and time to precious to drive) should be at my door by next Monday, they couldn't have been nicer on the phone. Thanks to those who advised dealer availability, it still amazes me that dealer support exists for these fine young (year older than me) vintage tractors.

Would you mind sharing the Case-IH part number with us? All I have around me are Case-IH dealers that used to be IH dealers. They can order Case stuff, but they done't have the current Case-IH part numbers for the Case equipment.

Got home to late to call tonite, will get part # tommorrow and post it up, I didn't ask for it when I placed the order, think I was stunned that they had it, sounded to me like it was coming from a warehouse to them then on to me.

I have worked in several car dealerships in the past, never know what wonderfull things are setting on part shelves covered with dust. lots of times a partsman has long forgotten what they fit and all they need is a customer with a part number to sell one of the orphaned parts to. I am a firm beliver in OEM parts, sometimes they are even compettive in price but you dont know unless you ask.
