I'm trying to buy a 1966 Case 930 western special. IT has a blown head gasket, leaks some oil between the block and rear end, and the power steering doesn't work. It has a foot clutch which I think is more rare than the hand clutch. Does anybody know production numbers on this tractor, if a foot clutch is more rare, and how much this tractor may be worth? Thank you much

In our country very few were sold with foot clutch. in fact I never seen one. 1966 is the last year they made the six speed with chain final drive. The last year for the oilbath clutch too. If they would have keep the oilbath clutch with the eight speed it would have made a much better tractor.

Ben, on the steering, if it's a Monroe cylinder, I rebuilt mine 3 years ago, I think the dealer had to do a search of other dealers to get the seal kit that I put in it, if it's a Ross, parts may or may not be easier to get for them, I don't know, some Minneapolis Moline's used the same Ross cylinder. I have a '63 round fender LP that has a hand clutch, I'm not sure how many hand or foot ones were made. Your's must be the flat fender type. I know of a flat fender LP with 1080 original hours that sold lately for at least $4800, I'm going to see it up close Saturday. I can't remember if the foot clutch one's oil the clutch from the engine like the hand clutch models, I should know but don't.
