My Case 130 has a belt problem on the one that goes from the engine to the mower deck. I put on a 63 in. belt and it was too loose and ruined immediately. I put on a 62 in. belt and it looked right at first but stretched so much in a half hour use that it is on the way to ruin. When the belt stretches, the idler pulleys drop below the mower deck pulley so far that there is a misalignment condition that won't let the belt last. I tried a 61 in. belt but it looked so tight at first that I returned it without trying it since I did not think it would retract so as to let the belt slip when disengaged. It just seems the idler pulleys are positioned so critically it is impossible to get enough movement to engage and disengage the belt. The mower is new to me and I have no history on it. It runs fine and the hydraulic transmission is fine. I can usually figure these things out but this one has me baffled. Has anyone fought this problem?

Call S&K Farm and Yard and ask for Fuzz. He should be able to solve your problem. His number is 517-725-2439 or517-723-2369.
