Help!!
I'm restoring to the original vintage and I do not know what the specific color/colors were. I have access to paint codes and when I see a restored Case, it is a solid red color or gray/red?? Which is correct and where can I substaniate the correct color scheme??
Thanks, I'm ready to paint..

Suggestion - do a search for "paint" or "RC paint" on this site - you'll get a ton of results. This question has been asked several times before.

Ed, The answer to you question is debatable. We have a 37 RC that we found original paint and had matched and are sure our tractor is the same color as original. There are some that say that Ford NAA gray is very near the right color, but it is considerablly lighter than our tractor. Some folks say that Case did not use the same shade on all RC's. Click the email link above and I can share more information. JHH

I think I remember reading somewhere that Clausen directed that a lighter shade of paint be used on the RC's than was used on the C's and the L's... part of that whole thing about being a "small" tractor that he didn't want competing with the regular line.

I always thought that LC gray was darker than the RC gray... but all the ones I see are RUST colored! (grin)

RC is a lot lighter than LC gray but not as light as Ford NAA. Suspect JHH might have the right color. Hope he posts the formula.

The Ford NAA gray is too light.
