I have a 1030 case in the shop that was getting coolant in the oil, bad o-rings on sleeves. I was planning on putting the old sleeves and pistons back in with new o-rings and new rings. Question is I also have a good set of pistons out of a 1175that have the indentation in the center. Would these be better than the flat top pistons that are in it? It is a non turbo, used for light work, I'd just like to have a little extra power to play with. Thanks, Chris

Cris R Thad Is Wright Don"t Do It. 30 Series Very Important To Have Intake Valves Flush To .060 TH. From Top Of Head. Exq. Seats Flush Or 1/16 Above Top Of Valve Chamber. Starts Easier & More Power. Word Of Caution Check For Cracks At Top Of Sleeve Flange On Old Sleeves. If Cracked Have Top Of Sleeve Deck In Block Trued Up & Shim Sleeves .002 To .005 Can Get Shims At Case Dealer. If You Need Part Numbers E Mail Me. Brent

If you put the 1175 pistons in it you couldnt get it to even start. The combustion chamber is in the pistons on the 70series eng. It is in the head on a 30s. So 70s in a 30s results in to low of compression. Thad
