Adam Should Have 35- 40 Lbs Pull On Lever. To Tight & Shaft Will Turn. Look Inside Where You Adjusted P.T.O. Clutches & You Will See Carriage Bolt With Lock Nut. Loosen Lock Nut & Screw In Carriage Bolt 2-3 Turns. Install Housing & Try. Probbley Brake Is Bad. Brent

My 930 does the same thing. The brake is warn to the point that it does not stop the PTO when it is disengaged. When I am hauling manure and the spreader is empty it will not stop. Dump one loader scoop in and it stops. Stop the engine and try to hook something up to it that pulls hard. My guess is that when you start the engine the PTO will not run. I have tried to repair the brake on mine, but I have never been able to get it set to work right. LOL

You may have adjusted your PTO clutch to the wrong specs. You may want to get a manual on that tractor model and it should have troubleshooting solutions such as PTO problems in it. Hope this helps.
