If no sc and dc,s were built during the strike of 1946 were the tractors with serial numbers starting out with 50 built before the strike or were they assemblyed by salaryed employees? Maybe dc Tom could shed some light on this subject thanks Bill

ACCORDING TO MY COMPANY RECORDS THERE WERE NO S'S BUILT IN 46 BUT OVER 3000 D'S AND DON IS RIGHT, OCTOBER 1 STARTED NEW MODLE'S OF THE NEXT YEAR

Case model years start in October, the strike started in December, so there were several weeks of production. Several dealers I have talked to recount the experience of crossing the picket line to get parts and machinery and it was not a pleasant experience.
