Just finished my 1st. overhaul on a tractor and I could use some help. It seems to always flood the carb when it sits over night. Making it hard to start. The carb is rebuilt with the floot set at 1 and 5/32. The shut off valve on the tank dose not stop gas flo all the way. New shut off valve? or set floot lower? Is the gas pushing the needle off the seat in carb?

Did you change both the needle valve and the seat? The needle valve should shut the gas flow off completely if it is seating properly. You might buy a plastic ball type shut off valve and put it in the fuel line. You can buy them at a lawn and garden center or NAPA Auto Parts for around $7.00. You could also try lowering the float some more to see if that helps.
