I have a chance to buy an 885 for cheap. It has a couple of problems I need to know more about before I jump in. It needs a water pump, starter work, shaft seal on the power steering pump and the engine has massive blowby; one cylinder (at least) is passing compression into the crankcase. Is this 3 cylinder diesel wet sleeved, dry sleeved, or parent bore? Are engine parts available in the aftermarket, or is mother Case my only option? Otherwise, this tractor looks OK and the clutch, tranny, PTO, and hydraulics are very good. All input apreciated. RickB

That engine is parent bore. Aftermarket parts are not a problem. I have quite a bit of inventory here myself. Can supply you with the proper manuals and parts too. They are a great little tractor. Most fuel efficient you will ever come across. Left my email open if you want more answers.

I know nothing about that particular tractor but basket cases like that can get VERY expensive by the time you get them up to your standards. It better be VERY cheap, in my opinion. Glenn F.
