Hello,

I have corresponded with Mr. Rich Tworek of the Case Corp. about a build card for my 1950 LA. It was built for use with the propane fuel. There seems to be some confusion with when you could get propane from the factory. The book I have says 1952 but this could not be correct as my tractor was built 2 years before.
Any one have any other info. to add?

Thanks!,
Mike

I just got my 52 LP in the shop. M&W overbore kit, and the head checked out perfect. I painted the transmission and engine Sat. I will have the sheet metal done shortly. The LP version is a great looking tractor.

Hi mike's600,
Sounds like you are where I hope to be next summer with my tractor. I'm changing all fluids and filters, sparks plugs, new front tires and going to put it away for winter and then start on it next spring. The motor and rear end have already been gone through. would like to see a pic sometime.

Mike

Hi DCTOM,
My book is "CASE Tractors" Illustrated Buyers Guide, second edition.

On page 119, second paragraph, first sentence it says: "In 1952, the company introduced LP-Gas equipment for the LA."

On page 122 under the picture it says:
"In 1952, Case offered LP-gas equipment for the Model LA. Performance matched that of the gasoline-fueled engine, but generally ran at a lower fuel cost."
