My wonderful little tractor is running rough. I want to start by checking the point gap. Does anyone know what it should be? Next I'll check the spark plugs and wires. Does anyone have advice for me?

My 51 VAC was doing the same thing, I changed from Champion spark plugs over to AC-Delco and haven't had to do a thing since. Gap = 0.025. Hope this helps, good luck.

I've always ran Champion D16 spark plugs in all my old tractors and they perform fine. I recently had a problem with my Case 311 running rough. It turned out to be the condenser.

I got around to checking the spark plugs tonight. Turns out, number 3 was fowled really badly so I cleaned it up with a file, regapped it and reinstalled it. The tractor is running fine again. Thanks guys for the help. The spark plug gap is .025 and the point gap is .020. Does everyone agree?
