Where might I find an engine overhaul kit or at least pistons and rings for a 1944 DC Case? It is starting to burn some oil.

I have found that e-bay carries a lot of Case DC tractor parts. I bought an entire rebore kit there last winter. Over the past few months there have been postons, sleeves, rings, gaskets, etc.

Great thank you guys so much for your help. This is the first time I have put anything on this site. It is a wonderful site to say the least. I am sure I will need a second job to pay for the pistons and rings for my tractor.

If you have the 4" bore you can get individual pieces. Sleeves, rings, and pistons. They don't offer them as a kit.

C. Amick has good sources for you. My thought was oil is cheap and smoke keeps the mosquitos down...wait till you see the cost for pistons, rings, sleeves :-(

Can't really buy a kit. I think Don L. (manifold@smig.net) (507-433-0073 mornings) has rings, pistons, and sleeves. You may still be able to get them from Case/IH, if you are willing to pay the price. I know that Case/IH has them for the SC. You may only need rings depending on how much the cylinder is worn.
