also they have a 1370 thats been sitting there forever seems to run fine.... has like 6500 hours no one even looks at it....I was thinking of maybe buying one of these tractors....What should a guy look out for on these tractors???

the 1175 is 121 hp it is a excellant tractorit has no power shift to cause problems just a little slow on the road the 1370 is a good tractor but test drive check for smoothness of shifting it is 156 hp

The 1175 has 121 horsepower with a 451 turbo charged diesel (no powershift). The 1370 has 160 horsepower with a 504 turbo charged diesel (only comes with a powershift). Both are great tractors. However, make sure that the 1370 has the powershift update kit installed, otherwise you could end up mortgaging the farm to install it.

Well it's the thing about what you like and what you need. The 1370 has the horses, The disadvantages are that the slowest gear is about 2 mph and it's 1000 rpm PTO only. If the powershift works nicely it is likely ok. If the engine runs smooth about the only thing to check would be to loosten the oilpan plug after it's sat overnight and make sure there's no coolant in the oil. (If it has 6500 hrs and hasn't seen an overhaul the sleeve o rings may be getting hard). I know less about the 1175 but PTO requirements and the std trans may make up your mind.
