It is a planetary pwershift, 2 clutchs must be engaged for movement to occur. To get to the trans the rad & engine have to be removed. Low pressure could be a cut sealing ring on one of the pistons or sealing rings on the c2/c3 manifold. What power shift ranges have low pressure? Also 70 series were known to break the bolts holding c2 & c3 together, this would cause low pressure & other erratic things. Seal kit isn't too expensive but planet carriers & sun gears are, Its not going to heal itself & will likey get worse if you keep using it.

Thank you very much for your info.! The tractor
slips pretty bad in 1st in the PS, when ever the transmission is in 2nd or higher. The oil pressure
reads low in 1st, but when in 3rd it reads normal.
I am looking at this tractor, as it is for sale,
and I was just wondering what it is going to take
to get it in working condition. The powershift
and transmission seem to work (somewhat) and they don"t make any unusual sounds. I hear that these are good machines and I am seriously thinking of buying and fixing it. Also, the rear steer does not seem to want to work
at all. Any suggestions?

Thanks again for all your help!

Nathan
