I have a Case-IH 485 with a Mount-O-Matic loader that is supposed to be easy to dismount but I don't know how to do it. I can see the hydraulic disconnects and the rear securing pins which would let it loose but it seems if I back out of it, it will fall down on the ground. Are there some arms for it which prevent this or do I just need to make some props? I remember reading somewhere how to do it but now cannot find the info. Any advice would be welcome, Dan.

That is a very easy loader to dismount. Remove the two pins at the rear of the mounting bracket on each side. Then as you back away from the loader use your hydraulics to make the part of the loader that runs horizonaly from the front of the tractor to the pins you removed push the tractor backwards. As you work the hydraulic lever that horizonal part will make a stand that will hold the loader up. Then it will be in a vertical position. Uncouple the hoses and the tractor is free from the loader. It is a very simple task. Hope this helps.
