The Pto has not been working correctly. There is not alot of power behind it and some times doesn't respond. If i run the tractor for a while it seems to help the pto. And sometimes it doesn't. Ive changed the hydraulic filters and oil 2 times so oil is clean. Anyone have any ideas.

My first guess woulde the clutch pack is shot. First, if you have a gauge and fitting, tee into the hydraulic line to the clutch and check the pressure. I forget what it is supposed to be but 180 p.s.i. seems to stick in my mind. If you have pressure the clutch pack is not that hard to change. Drop the drawbar bracket, drain oil, remove back unit from tractor with help, or a lifting device-it"s heavy, then you can disassemble clutch. Let us know what you find.

So you believe that the hydraulic pump is ok? Another thing that it does time to time is that when you push the clutch in it feels lke you slammed on the breaks and you went through the windshield so i don't know what is up with that. It does that with out being engaged in any of the powershifts. just the range it self

The spool valves are getting sticky. Normally it really is bad when the tractor is cold and the oil thicker. I had one do it and a Case mechanic told me what to do. 1st make sure nothing is screwed up grinding filings in your trans. When you pull the back off to fix your pto you'll be able to have a good look in the bottom of the trans/diff. for signs.

Pull the floor board cover out and wash off the top of the trans really good. Then remove the spool valve assembly and take it apart. Get a case manual they're good. Take the shift vavles and some valve lapping compound and spin the valves in the block with a drill. Do that with all of them so they slide really nice. Then wash it all with clean solvent really good. Stick it back together and your off. I did it to mine years ago and its worked like a charm ever since.
