I am looking for information on production numbers for the 1090 Case. Everything I've run across has the 1090 included with the 1070. How many 1090's were built? I was just wondering how rare my 1970 1090 Delta is.

Thanks, Jim. Where are you getting your information? The only thing I've found dealt with serial numbers, and the 1070 and 1090 numbers are all together. I sure would like to find a good source of information.

I have Full Steam Ahead 1842-1955 (which is volume 1) and J.I. Case Ag & Construction Equipment 1956-1994 (which is volume 2). Volume 2 has the breakdowns by tractor on the newer ones. Both books are good reading.

CK,

Mine looks almost like a 1070, but has a heavier front end, and twin cylinders on the steering. Also has heavier 3pt. lift arms, and side rails. Mine is an 8-speed, not a powershift. It has the cast nose, and weighs in at almost 16,000 lbs. with fluid in the tires and inside wheel weights. It's got 23.1X30 tires on the back, and 11.00X16 tires on front. Oh, yes, the 1090 also has eight-bolt front hubs, instead of six-bolt. I believe that they also have a heavy-duty clutch. At least my left leg tells me that after a long day of baling hay!
