My brother and I ran across this tractor and has become a hobby we are going to restore to original. Interested in any information. Thank you.

Neighbor has a Case 600 (the big style) with mechanical front wheel assist. All restored, it is one of the most pretty tractors. the set up looks factory, not sure who made it but it is not a home made setup.

I heard the turbo kit was put on by m&w and was wondering if they also did the front wheel assist kit to

Could also be a Elwood front end. They were made in Elwood Illinois, and I have seen them on quite a few different tractors all over the country.

Gary's Imp. at Bridgeport NE has 2 of them, both for sale. I was there in August and have several pictures. They look like they would be good in mud with a loader, but would not turn very short.

I agree that I do not think this was a factory otion, but it would still be a fun tractor to see. Could you post a picture? Some of these aftermarket items do become collector items, like the GM 371 Diesel conversions in the LA Cases. Wait until I post pictures of our Case DC Turbo Diesel 4X4, now that is definately not factory, but it will turn some heads. Go for it!

I'd like to see a picture of that tractor.
I think the only thing Case made in '67 with a turbo and 4x4 was the 1200 4WD, which used a 451 cu in 1030 motor.
If this is a actual 1031, you'd have to go back to a 2WD and naturally aspirated to restore to original. Not to say there couldn't be a 1030 out there with a turbo added or front wheel assist, (most were hydraulic drive aftermarket similar to the mudhogs they put on combines for rear wheel assist) but certainly not original from Case. But...I could be wrong. I'm always learning!

At "Gary´s Implement" in Bridgeport NE, where I
have looked at ALOT of tractors I have seen a 1030
Row Crop, with mechanical front wheel assist and
a 3-point. The last time I saw it was October 9
2004. There was some kind of a cast "Box" on the
left-hand-side of the transmission where the dri-
veline was connected. I have a salesbrochure from
Case where a 930 is pictured with MFWA and it says
it has the 6 speedtransmission (chaindrive ?), but
also that it is an experimental setup.
Best wishes, Jens Andersen, Denmark
