Hey Guys,

The oil in the rear end was very milky when I drained it. I want to wash/flush it out before
adding new oil. Should I use diesel fuel or something else like kerosene?

Thanks,
WOD in VA

I used kerosene on my SC with good results - more important to have many buckets close by!:^)

It will work ok. When you drain the present oil and again when draining the cleaner, tilt the tractor each side to help drain all the liquid out of the axles. Give it some time to drain each side, gonna be slow in cold weather.

Either one will work. Probably cost a bit less $$$ to use diesel.

I think I read somewhere that the milky look is caused by water getting into it. I agree that either kerosene or diesel fuel should work fine for cleaning.
