I have a 1210 David Brown. I can start this tractor up and it will run great....I can run it for 10 minutes...30 minutes...hours at a time. But all of a sudden it will quit. I have to go to the fuel pump and manually pump it to start the tractor up. It does this every now and then...starting to be more now than then. I believe air is getting into the fuel system somehow. I cannot find any fuel leaks visually. Does anyone know how I can test the fuel system for air leaks?????

It has new fuel filters on it....good clean diesel in it...fuel tank is clean also....

Any ideas would be helpful.

Thanks

Matt

When taking off the fuel transfer pump pull the pin out from the camshaft and make sure it is not worn. You will notice a concave wear on the camshaft end of the pin. Should be flat with a chamfer. If worn enough it will not pump sufficient fuel.

First thought is the transfer pump on the right side of the engine has a problem with the diaphram. Not that expensive to change out, and I think you can get kits to repair them too.
