Hey, I have a case 2590 and the thing dosnt want to move... well it will move a little bit. If i let it sit for a little while i can get it to move or if i have it in a low rpm it will move, or if im parked on a incline it will it will move for a little bit. I changed all the transmission filters and i dont think the transmission is goin out. The power steering dosnt work, nor does the 3 point or the PTO. I can still spin break the back axles and the breaks work. The hydroilc pump runs to but i dont think its getting any oil to it. This is a very confusing problem lol.

There should be a light on the dash for HYD PRESS. If this light is on when the tractor is running, you may have a plugged intake screen. You can remove the trans. press. sender unit and put in a gauge to see if you have pressure-should be about 30 p.s.i. from the charge pump to hyd. pump.

Does the light come on when you turn on the key before you start the engine?

Sorry, I should have looked at mine before I replied to your first post. It should have a HYD FILTER light on the dash, not a HYD PRESS light. Anyway the sending unit for this light is on the left side of the tractor,in from the steps. You'll see the sensor with a wire that screws into a fitting on the pipe from the charge pump to the hyd. pump. If you put a low pressure gauge in place of the sensor you should get 30 p.s.i. with tractor running. If no pressure, I would check suction screen in bottom of transmission. You'll have to drain all trans-hyd fluid out, then remove gearshift cover on right side of transmission. It's a tight fit but you can see inside with a light. If it is plugged you can rinse it out with a garden sprayer filled with diesel. Remove big plug on bottom of rear housing first and you will get most of it. Let us know what you find.

Well now i know why the tranny filter was getting pluged cus the PTO Clutch Plates are wasted. But how do u take off the back housing for the PTO? I took all the bolts off and all the lines going to it and it still wont come off. I can pry it open a little bit on the top but the bottem seems to be held up.
