Hello. I have my heads off my 1170. I do not have a factory case tool to get the injectors out. I am working at getting them out. I am afraid I am going to break them. After I took the bolts out that hold them in, looks like they should come straight out. Does anyone have any tips on how I should get the injectors out? Thanks and have a great day.

fuel injection shops have a slide hammer tool which fits the injector. if heads are off use a small socket to fit over spray nozzle to protect it, tap out

Sometimes we"ll have to put a pair of vice-grips on the injector to get a pry bar to work.

I had some that I needed out so I went to our local dealer and the mechanic let me use their puller. He told me that most of the time those pencil injectors get ruined even with the puller.

Hey Perry: They can be a challenge. They come straight up out. You should see 2 notches, 1 on each side of the inj.. Pry up there with 2 pry bars, 1 on each side.
