VAC Hydraulic Cylinder Packing

I have a problem. Where can I get the packing for the cylinder on my hi pressure system. I believe the cylinder is VT-731 or something like that. I believe the part number is VT-4107. I've used a brake caliper seal prior, but that only lasts about a year. Any help would be great.

I've tried a new Case seal, brake wheel cylinder seals, disc brake seals, etc. and, like you, they just don't last (the seal from Case was the worst) and I finally went to a hydraulics supply house and told the guy that I needed an inch and a half cup seal for a 2000psi system. He came out with a fiberous-rubber cup and said it would last; that was 2 or 3 years ago. It cost me 9 bucks. I don't have a part number but if you call 970.434.6941 and tell them you want a cup-type seal for the 1 1/2 cylinder on a CASE VAC I'm sure that they will send one out to you.

Holy Cats..... ..... .that was MY post! I thought the number looked familar! No use calling those boys..... .the building is empty. Guess I'll just keep looking!

Cup, packing...VT4107 -> A30544 used in VTA2744 & VTA731 cylinders.

Have you checked with a Case/IH dealer? The leather cups were still available the last time I checked.

Thanks, guys. I'll try that number. I haven't called CASE dealer yet, they don't know there "blank" from a hole in the ground on old tractors

You just haven't found the right dealer. I got mine from an old IH dealer and they are usually the worst to buy Case parts from.
