My father has an old 1952 Case tractor. It has a 4-cylinder engine. How can I tell what model it is? Or is there somewhere on the web that lists what Case Tractor models were released in 1952?

I am trying to find some replacement parts for it.

Look through the tractor photos under "Galleries" on this web site and see if you can find one like it.

Serial number or picture would help. The serial number would be on a plate screwed to the dash. Some models also have the serial number on the rear engine /bellhousing flange.

I may get a picture later this week since I'm not near the tractor at the moment.

There is what appears to be a serial number stamped into the engine:

73-E11412

That looks like an engine serial nr for a VA series tractor. Located above the starter? Tractor model/serial nr should be on a tag on the dash.

Yes, the number was located above the starter. However the tag on the dash has long been removed.

I should be posting some pix in the next day or two.

thanks,
