Got a 930 western special comfort king that came with 18.4 x 34 inch rubber. Is it possible to put 23.1 x 34 inch rubber on this tractor? Could you order it from the factory with 23.1's? Are the fenders adjustable? I have 23.1's I thought I could put on but they look quite large. I hope they wll fit. Any help would be great. Thanks

Hi:

Our 1966 Case 930 has 23.1 x 30 tires and when needed we have some clamp-on duals which are 18.4 x 34 in size. The overall height of both sets of tires are almost the same. The 23.1 tires has a 20 inch rim. The fenders are not a problem.

We have no information on 23.1 x 34 tires.

Pam

There was a 930 on the Cover of Antique Power a few years back that had 23.1 x 34 tires on it.

BI I'm looking at my buyer guide from 1966 for 1030 case tractor western fenders are ajustable up and down 3 inchs, standard rear 15.5-38 optional 23.1-30 or18.4-34 from case . row crop fenders are not ajustable, my 1030 has 18.4 -38 and they will not fit under the fenders .

If you look close on the inside of the fenders you will notice 2 sets of holes. The fuel tank needs to be removed, and the fenders lifted and bolted into the lower set of holes. The fuel tank brackets go into a lower set of holes also, and the fenders set higher. In the high set 20.8 x 38's clear in good shape. I have them on my 930. DK

The early 930's had 23.1 x 26" tires. The 34's would be really really tight under the fenders. The row crop 930's did come with 23.1 x 30's, 18.4 x 34's, and 18.4 x 38's. The fenders on the row crops were adjustable. The standards were not. Good Luck. DK

I've seen many old 930s with 23.1s on them down here in this rice country. Fenders should have enough adjustment to clear. I can't remember what width rim is needed for a 23.1. Maybe someone else can help you on that.
