'48 VAC PTO lever question

I recently saw the "rod" and bracket that hooks to the pto lever for engagement on ebay sell. Did the 48 model have this or is this something that was added when the eagle hitch was put on? I can't figure out where or which bolt this would be bolted to according to the bends in the bracket.

Any info would be great

thanks
Mike

All the ones I've seen have just had a rope to engage the PTO and you would just reach down to shut it off. I have a 1946 and a 1954 in front of me right now. The 46's lever is about 10" long and the 54's is about 3". I think they put the rod on the earlier ones because of the eagle hitch, but it might have just been an operator comfort thing too.
