Power take-off on case 1070 wont turn when hooked up to load, will turn but can stop it with any type of load had pto clutch rebuilt about 4 years ago any thing else to check? fluids are full.

There is a roll pin that holds in the pto brake piston. We had this pin break out and nothing would turn. seems to me that the pin was accessable when the hydraulic pump was removed.

Took unit apart found that the inner shaft of the pto shaft had sheared found out case had updated the newer ones.Found a used one ended up breaking a bolt off in one the jack shear pins place still wanted $350.00,told them I would have to think about it. Still looking for one that was removed.

I just did the same job on my 770, I think they are about the same. There is a small pin that goes in the clutch pack. This pin is probably sheared.On the 770 the pin cost $2.00 and the gasket for the PTO housing was about $20.00. If I would have had the parts it would not have taken more than a day to take apart and put back, but I did mine under a rolling hoist. GOOD LUCK Tony
