1957 Case 900 hydraulic question

Hi;
Not sure where else to ask this question.
I have a 1957 Case 900 diesel with hand clutch and hydraulics mounted below PTO shaft, the problem I am having is using it for running my 10x60 auger, it won't lift the auger itself, nor will it lift a small 20 foot cultivator I use for around the yard, equipped with one of those small bolt together hydraulic rams..
But, it runs the small hydraulic swing away auger awesome and using the original Case cylinder that came with the tractor it lifts a heavy breaking tandem disk with no problems..

At first it made a buzzing noise when I tried to life the auger or cultivator, I dumped out the oil, put fresh in etc, and took out the relief valve, installed 4 washers and now it doesn't buzz as much but it still will not lift the auger.
I note in the original manual it states 15GPM and 1,000PSI relief valve pressure.
My neighbor with a 4020 JD has stated they get about 2,000 PSI or more and have no troubles lifting their auger.
IS this my problem? is the pressure too low in this type of tractor to lift?
My other neighbor with an 830 used this auger and was BARELY able to life the auger.. but he did lift it.

any help would be greatly appreciated..

Thank you for your help Charley;
After I finally just took the entire spring right out of the cap for the pressure relief valve and filled it full of spacers (for testing purposes), I had almost 2500 lbs of pressure and stiill no lift.
did the changing of hoses/outlets etc still nothing, hooked the auger up to a Deutz tractor I had with almost 4000 psi (don't ask incredible loader performance btw ;) )and had to rev her up high to get it lift and it did, for whatever reason the auger had struck in the lowered position..
after this the ol' Case lifted it like nothing even at idle.
beautiful!
only bad thing is the goofball who stuck the drawbar wayyy down below and the PTO way up high..
so some mods have been made to the auger and I am ready for harvest!
thanks again;

case system is low pressure,you need a bigger cylinder to have lift power.your one cylinder is too small. that is why your case cylinder lifts good,it is sized to match tractor. older tractors were low pressure,used big cylinders. AC was high pressure and used small cylinders. newer JD are high pressure,it will lift more with same size cylinder and faster.

interesting thing here, I actually removed the cap on the relief valve, removed the spring and put enough spacers in to negate the relief valve, with a pressure gauge I can get 2000+ psi, up to 2500 if I move the lever slowly.
now the auger will lower (which it wouldn't do before either) , but not raise, it's a single acting long cylinder.
could it be that there is not enough hydraluic oil capacity? Or could my pioneer ends be no good?

you have enough pressure if it is getting to cylinder piston.swap one of the couplers off the good case cylinder onto auger hose and see what happens.try auger hose in each tractor coupler, see what that does.take hose loose at cylinder and see if oil is shooting out.oil capacity would affect stroke,it would lift untill oil got to low.if case cylinder works fine,tractor pump is OK.how did you get cylinder up to know it comes down?
