1494 case fuel problem

it will start up and run about 30 seconds and stop. if you turn to about 1400 rpms, it will miss alittle then for about 20 seconds, then run find. sometimes it stops anyway, then i bleed the fuel system, open wide open crank and pump hand pump, normally starts. when you get past the first minute, it runs great. the problem is getting worse,only had to turn about 1000rpms at first. sure hate to turn any thing that hard cold. thanks for help.

Lift pump for sure, but also check the push rod that operates the lift pump. When the pump is removed, pull the rod out of the engine block. If it is 'scolloped' at either end replace it or build it up. We have alot of these wear.

had the same problem on a 1030 check valves on hand pump were plugged

I had a very similar problem with our 3300 Deere combine this fall ---- turns out it was the hand pump. Replaced it and problem was over.
