Purchased a 310 at an auction, and when I got ready to start & load it, the foot clutch remains
engaged, and loaded it with hand clutch. This was an estate auction, and I later learned that all the equip./items had been setting in sheds for possibly 7 or 8 years. Naturally, we then fought the fuel supply & carb., but now running ok, except the foot clutch. Is the clutch plate frozen to flywheel, and if so, does anyone have any suggestions? How about spraying wd-40 in
inspetion hole, and chaining tractor to a solid object, hold foot clutch down, and using hand clutch to apply pressure in attempt to break clutch plate free from flywheel?? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You, Dave Zook

Iy could be that the splines on the input shaft are rusty, not allowing the clutch to slide free of the flywheel or Pressure plate. WD 40 might work anything is worth a try before splitting the tractor.
