I picked up a non-running '49 LA. It has PTO and hydraulic hoses in back. How useful are the hydraulics? Will it pressure a cylinder in and out? Is there such a thing as a 3pt hitch for a LA?

Hydraulics were optional on the LA, but the PTO
had to be engaged to operate. I don't believe live
hydraulic system was available.

On a '49 LA the hydralics were in probably added after market. Sorry no 3-point for an LA, unless someone got fancy and made one. LA's were CASE's big draft horse.

I don't know much about LAs except they were a heck of a workhorse. It is possible that the hydraulics are factory, we have a 1949 SC that my dad bought new and it has factory hydraulics, the pump only runs when the PTO is engaged.

Yes I have seen them on a SC and the housing looks almost identical to the LA's.
