Someone on other forum has a powerful probably turned up 1370 wants to know how much boost it should have.Wants less smoke i think. Anyone know stock boost pressure at max?

Thanks both of you. I will just tell him to come to this forum an r ead your replys. For comparison i drive a cummins 1sx 500 an temp will not ever go above 800 at about 35psi.

Will the 3LM turbo work on a 1270? Mine is running 150hp,14psi boost,1050 egt.It smokes plenty,always has.

Yes it will fit. All Case engines used the same turbo. A staight pipe will reduce exhaust temp. about 200 degrees. Stan

I had 1973 1370 set at 170 hp that would run 900 degree on pyrometer with 15 lbs boost. I also had a 1976 1370 set at 210 hp. It would run 1000 degrees at about 20 lbs boost. Both tractors had straight pipes and the big one had a 3LM turbo. If he wants less smoke go get the 3LM turbo. It will bolt right on. Any diesel shop will have one. Stan
