I am currently rebuilding a Case 420 dozer / backhoe, and have run into a problem, the drive sprockets are shot. Both sides have the splines worn out. They still drive, but it doesn't look like they will drive for long. Is there any way to rebuild my sprockets? I realize they are cast, but is there anyone who can bore them out and install new hubs? I am hoping someone out there can help, Case wants $514 each, and I am having trouble finding them used.

Don't know how old this question is, but have you tried arc welding w/build up rod? hardsurfacing. , Just do short bursts of weld, then alternate to the opposite spokes. It worked on my 420. Also on the case 310 track loader some parts will fit the 420.

If the sprockets are gone, chances are so are your pins and bushings. Depending on the amount of work you will be doing with your case, the new sprockets will only last a while before you throw a track. You might be able to get by with a used set of sprockets and used tracks or maybe even a turn job if the pins and bushings aren't to far gone. Email me for some ideas.
