Does anyone have any information on this brand of machine? My Dad, found one at a government auction, but know one knew any thing about it, nor have we been able to find anyone who has ever heard of this machine. Description: Approx. 4' wide, 4' tall, 7' long, is bucket loader type, has single cyl. wisconsin motor (10 hp). This machine is heavily built, my guess is that it was used by the forest service and dropped in by parachute as needed to fight fires. I know this is NOT a Magna Trac crawler. If anyone knows of this machine please contact me. Thank you for your time, Herb. Herb@networld.com

I also have a agracat crawler. As far as I knoow it has a 18 hp wissconson motor their is a serial # B 548 on the belt gaurd plate and a seperate # on the motor. I know it was my fathers and he bought it from a contractor in Baltimore that he worked for. I'd like more INFO I took it to my first tactor show and it was a big hit.

Herb you might try the Tracklayinggardentractors club at the Yahoo page. You'll have to join the club, but that's no big deal and there are several guys in that club that know quite a bit about the Agritrac.

Herb - Is it an AgriTrac or an AgriCat?

If you go to>Link

the>Link Antique Cat Machinery Owners Club BB, you can post a photo and maybe get some assistance.

Someone posted a story on an AgriCat which was B+S powered. I don't know if this would be the same machine or not.
To find the story and pics on ACMOC, go to keyword search on left, type in AgriCat.

AgraCat and AgraTrac were both built by the same manufacturer: J&O or Joost Mfg. of Oakland/Berkeley, CA. Western Transmission built subassemblies for J&O. Story has it that the name AgraCat was used until the company was sued by Caterpillar. The name was changed to AgraTrac and that was used until the demise of the company in 1966. I have one of these machines and just now starting to work on it to get it moving. Was just wondering if there are any books on this machine available?
Do you have any idea on its worth?
Any hints on repairing?
Thank you for any and all information
JOHN
