Hi, Alabama, This may help....; a neighbor had a TD6, said one track wouldn't drive, would I have a look at it. Did. Took the guard off that covers the sprocket, and found that all the bolts that hold the sprocket to the hub were missing, that was an easy fix! Later, I went to look at a TD9/91 to buy, owner said one track would not drive, this one did not have the guard over the sprocket, and could see that all the bolts were in and tight. The price was right, so bought it "as is", took it home and checked the steering clutches, and such, everything seemed alright. Split the track and got right into the final drive housing. Found all the rivets that hold the bull gear to it's hub were sheared off. Took the hub and bull gear out and made rivets from grade 8 bolts, heated them and re-riveted them in place. That was eight or nine years ago, everything is still holding! This might not be what is wrong with the one you are looking at, but certainly something to keep in mind, also, these two machines were working when the problems occured, so stuck steering clutches were not suspect, Have a gooder, R.E.L.
