AC HD6 can't steer

My father inlaw recently aquired an HD6 with hydraulic steering and brakes. Niether brakes nor steering work. We have been unable to find a manual that descibes this version of the HD6. Does anyone have experience or knowledge of this crawler please help. Thanks in advance for any info.

Curt, mailed you the info about the HD 6 dozer over two weeks ago. E-mailed you about 1 week ago to see if you got the package. I was just wondering if the good ol' U.S postal system did its job or not. Phil

Both the HD 6E and the HD 6EP had hydraulic steering. The EP model was a power shift machine. I had one and it was a nice machine. I rebuilt the engine and looked high and low for a service manual for the E EP model, but never found one. I have the older HD 6 service manuals but they don't say a thing about hydraulic steering. I do have a HD 6EP operators book. I can send you some copies of what's in this book. There is a pump and filter for this system, so maybe this could be where your problem is. E-mail me, and I'll send the info. We need to keep all thos old AC's runnin'.
