Anyone know anything about an Oliver OC4, OC46 gas powerd dozer? How many years did they make these. How much horsepower do they make, what are the major problems, and or the wear items on these dozers.

Adam.

Weak points on the oc-46 is the transmition.
It seems that the pivot point for the steering
brake/band, cracks inside the trans and by the time you notice it its to late to save the trans
housing.Ive got three oc-46 bad transmition housings. Just my two cents

The serial # is on a plate shaped like the Oliver shield on the left side of the tractor, just in front of the dash.

Adam: Get onthe Cletrac.org website; check the brochure illustrations; one is of the OC4 and OC46. The spec sheet has all the info on both the gas and diesel models.
Have my eye on an OC-46-3, Series B. Owner wants to sell, wants too much. Only defect I see is LH front idler outer rim edge and hub is rubbing on frame...outer bushing or bearings could be shot; runs good otherwise. The Cletrac website will tell you a lot you want to know.Good luck. PC
