Didn't know that LeRoi (the engine builders) mad a crawler tractor, but I'm willing to learn. My guess is that it's a LeRoi in some other manufacturer's crawler. How about a picture?

You said that you are interested in small crawlers, what do you want to know about the Le Roi crawler ? Have you seen Richard Robinson CRAWLER TRACTOR SCRAPBOOK ?Its worth seeing, he has done 3 volumes and is working on 2 more, all about crawlers. I am trying to trace EX employees or their families of Le Roi, or the Centaur Tractor Co, or Tobias Company of Oakland, California.. I believe Le Roi took over the Centaur Tractor Co. in the 40's, our crawler could have been made there ??? If you have any info, please let me know

you sure you don't have a tobias le roi?

made by tobias company of oakland?

i qoute out of richard h. robinsons crawler scrapbook part 3 (definilty a good book..... actually all 3 are)

its orignal colour was light grey and it is possible that it was only built in 1944 for the normandy landings in 1944 for the american military.

the one in the photo (sorry its in the book....and i have no scanner).....is a g-140 with a serial number 417-49 (ring any bells?)

the article is only about 150 words long and has 3 pictures.....but it goes on to say they were used to fill in trenches with a hydralic blade..... .

if this meets your critera..... .look after it..... keep it

You refer to the Tobias Company of Oakland, California, I gave this to Robinson for Part 3 of the Crawler book - but do you or anybody else know of this Company as tractor manufacturers or distributors ?? We cannot find any trace of this Company

The Le-Roi mentioned by Graham and in Robinsons Crawler tractor book is mine. It has Le-Roi on the front and both sides of the bonnet, it has a Le-Roi name plate in the drivers cockpit, it also has a Tobias name plate also but you can see that the original one has been removed and the Tobias one added, of course it also has a Le-Roi name plate on the engine. We have tried everywhere tto try and get some information on this crawler, we are hoping Yesterdays Tractors can help.
