It is interesting to note that what started out as a comment about Komats parts being more expensive than Caterpillar parts has turned into a racist diatribe by some small mided persons who do not understand the basic fundamentals of acting like a decent human being.

It was simply stated that it was untrue that the Komatsu parts are more expensive than the Caterpillar parts, and then people who admittedly have never owned a Komatsu went on the attack. How exactly does one become such an expert on Komatsu without owning one or working with them? Remember this conversation had nothing to do with the merits of the machine itself, only the repair cost. It is also interesting to note that none of you where able to come up with any facts as to why Komatsu was such a poor quality machine. It is interesting to note that some of you felt the Deere and others where good machines, just remember that Komatsu sells far more equipment than Deere does, in fact Komatsu is number two only behind Cat. You do not get to that position by selling poor quality equipment. Take a look at some of the very largest construction companies in America, they are starting to buy some Komatsu equipment.

As far as you narrow minded racists wanting to bomb Japan, here are a few facts for you. Lots of Caterpillar and Deeere equipment and parts are made in Japan. Komatsu builds some equipment in the US as well as Japan. Also keep in mind that Komatsu builds a great deal of engines that have the magic word "CUMMINS" on the valve covers. Also, the manual transmission in your Ford pickup was probably made in Japan.

I guess this is sort of typical behavior for people who do not bother to study an issue fully before going off on a tangent. To logically discuss anything, one should learn both sides of the issue, and be able to respect the valid points on both sides. But as so typical when dealing with irrational people, some of you have resorted to violence. Maybe if you went out and used your Ford truck with its Jap transmission, and a made in China log chain, and drug to death an Asian you would feel better? Or, maybe you could use your made in Mexico Dodge truck to do the job? Or you could use youe made in Japan Browning rifle with your made in Japan scope to shoot a few Asian people? Boy of boy that will teach those Japs a thing or two. You dont mess with an uneducated redneck.

CHAD:
I have a uncle who was on Bataan he was on the famous Death March, and he spent four years as a P.O.W. of the Japs. They took him to Japan and made him do slave labor in a coal mine. Maybe I'll get him in here and let you mouth off your liberal crap out to him. REMEMBER 12-07-41

I don't know a whole lot about them, but I think they charge too high for parts. I think you ought to stay away from Case as they break down like crazy-- very poorly designed equipment in most respects. JD and Cat are both good but I like JD's attitude a little better.
