Raymond, Years ago, I had a 680CK, around a 1970 vintage. It was a great machine for me. I ran it many, many hours and had a few minor problems with it, but that is all. It was heavy and somewhat slow, and it didn't get around in deep mud all that well, due to it being only 2WD. I sold it for more than I paid for it, and it made a lot of money for me while I owned it. A couple of weak points: The lower swing pin on the hoe had a self-aligning plain bearing that gave me trouble on several occasions. When it would break, the swing pin would drop down and hit the rods on the swing cylinders, scoring them. I finally welded the retainer in place and that cured it. The way the hoses were routed through the swing frame on the hoe tended to twist and chafe them, and I had to replace them on several occasions. The machine always had low clutch pressure, but it never bothered. Also, It did not tolerate ether very well. The fellow who bought it from me over did it with the ether once and broke the ring lands on a couple of pistons. I think he was a little more careful after that! Feel free to email or give me a call if you have any questions. My number is (860)738-2441. Regards, Scott Goff
