My 580D was swinging just fine as I had rebuilt the cylinders a few weeks back. Today I decided to adjust the foot swing pedals as they were laying flat. I adjusted them up and still had free play on each when I decided to see how I liked them in a more upright position. The hoe swung loosely and did not stop crisply. Then I heard a pop and now I have very little swing capability right and almost no swing capability left, and hardly any stop when I let off a pedal. Any help would be appreciated.

Another Observation: With tractor not running I can push the hoe either direction by hand.

Another observation: if I press a swing pedal it cuts all other backhoe hydraulics out.

I have had this happen on a ford 750. the piston inside the cylinder came off the end of the ram with the big nut that holds the piston on the ram. or possibly the ram broke..if this happens in one or both cylinders the hoe will swing freely just by pushing it by hand
