The service manual says that a special grease gun should be used on the track rollers. Is that really true? Do you guys use regular grease guns?

Is there a special ending for those slot headed fittings? Where can I get one? Nearest dealer is 100 miles from here...!

You can get the button head for your grease gun at NAPPA auto parts store when you grease the rollers only pump till you feel a little resistance then stop or you will blow out the seals should have no prob with a regular gun.
Good Luck Don

My JD manual says that the special grease gun also limits the pressure to I think 5 psi so that you don't blow out the seals. I am sure you could put in a pressure guage in the line and keep your eye on it.

Their called Button head grease fittings and some parts stores sell them. I know that you can buy them at NAPA because I have. You can get the buttons in to different sizes and the fitting for the gun it self. Their not cheap, plan on around $20.00 could be alittle more or less.
Have a great day,
