I posted a "what is it" under Farmall & IHC, not knowing that there was a separate crawler discussion forum. If you would like to see the information and URL, please go to "Farmall & IHC" and look for "Abandonded IH Crawler". Alan

I still think it's a TD-14. Where is it at? Let's all go take a look.

Me thinks KoO is a mite small on his answer Looks to be TD-14 or early 14A with the blade mounts in rear later 14A and 141 &142 mount in center of track frame. Also too many rollers and track not ahead of radiator to be 9 with long track frame. Can not be sure enough to bet cheese wizz. Brian

ok, i see what you guys are saying, and i was wrong, if it was a td-9 the tracks would be passed the rad (like i explained in my last post)but that is what these web pages are for is to learn, thanks guys, i'm a lot smarter now, LOL

im going with deas TD-14 , i dont think its a A,because on the idler slides, they atre not replaceable 5 roller frame on a 9 means the tracksare out past the radiator also look at the sq section on the blade lift , the distance of it, 1 of my 9s has the same b/E so went & checked out the distance between those 2 points im afraid its quite a bit shorter final point in favour of it being a 14 havea close look at the front idler ,specifically around the seal area see the circle of bolts now when did u see a 9 with that seal arrangement

Hi, Alan. If I were a gamblin' man, which I am in some ways, I'd say you have a TD14 there. Too much space between seat and firewall for a TD9 and a 5-roller track frame on a TD9 would have the front of the track out past the radiator. Single exhaust stack rules out the TD18. Taken with Harold's comments on the seat/hood height, I reckon it's a TD14. You have a wonderful day. Best wishes. Deas Plant.

It is a TD 14 or TD 14A. Easiest way to tell from distance, on profile hood is higher than seat sides on TD 14 & 18, hood is lower than seat sides on TD 6 and TD 9. TD 18 has two exhaust. TD 14 generally has 5 bottom rollers and TD 18 has 6. TD 9 has 4. Harold H

i would have to disagree with you and that harold, i have 2 td-9 with the five rollers on them, (long tracks, the tracks go past the rad, also have td-9 with 4 rollers on the bottom) the pictures was taken at a bad angle ange what looks to be 2 exhaust stacks is really the gas tank filler mounted on the rad. thanks, i'll still say it is a td-9 military issue

I stick with my TD 14/14A. On the number of rollers I am referring to standard which probably fits 75% or more. If you pick a direct side view and project forward from the arm rest, the hood is higher than the arm rest on a TD 14 and lower than the arm rest on a TD 9. imho, Harold

excellent way to post a photo, my guess would be a td-9 and if you post the serial number, it is more than likely a military issue. thanks
