Found a JD 1010 for sale in locale ad. Has a 6way blade canopy, new tracks, sprockets and rebuilt trans. Their asking 6800 or OBO for it. Need to know if it is worth that much and weight. Thanks for advice.

Well you have left quite alot out. Is it a diesel or a gas? Is it a dozer or a loader? Does it have a reverser, 3pt, winch?

So lacking that, let us assume that it is a gas, dozer type, no winch, no reverser, no 3pt and that they are honest about new chains, pads, sprockets and that it has a manual 6 way blade. Then $6,800.00 is not too bad. However, I would ask alot of questions and for gosh sakes look at it to get some more info and we will try to help. Oh, the weight for as described above will be about 8000 pounds and could run more based on equipment. Forgot to ask, is it a 5 roller or 4 roller.

So you probably have the idea, do your home work and post again and will try to help.

Thanks for the info and advice. What I listed was all the ad said, and haven`t had chance to call on it. Will look it over and keep in mind your suggestions before and if I buy.
