my 1963 Int. T-340 steers fine up or down hill but only wants to go straight on level ground.
any ideas?

I have experienced this along with others I have talked to and I have found this out: I think the problem may be the same as roll out on a race car. Where you would run one tire larger on one side than the other to get it to turn left with ease. Saying this I think you may have one track tighter than the other giving it the same effect. It may not have anything to do with your brakes or cluthes/ before ya go to wrenching on anything check ya tracks. The way ya tractor is pulling is going to be the looser or smaller diameter on that side. SKiNNy

I think your problem is in the steering brakes. The brakes, if adjusted correctly, will come on just after steering clutch is released. The brake is either out of adjustment or worn out. If you do not have the manuals to adjust I'll try to help you.
