I remember years ago we hired a person to clear bush off a test site. He showed up with this old Cat with a dozer blade on it. I don't remember a model number but it did have a three cylinder motor and it always sounded as if it was running at a fast idle. When he would stop and throttle it down you could almost count the cylinders firing.

Thank you for the reply. My Dad farmed with one in the 1940's in the Palouse Country (Wheat) in Eastern Washington State. As I remember the tractor it was a 3 cylinder and had a maximum RPM of 850 RPM. It had 24 inch track plates on it so as to be capable of greater traction in the soils in the area. It was not a very fast tractor but was very capable of pulling any machinery required of it. The starting motor on it was one very noisey piece of machinery! Thanks again for the reply!
