Well if the rad. is clear and clean with good air flow then what i am going to tell you next you ain't going to want to hear it but that is the way it is , either ya have a cracked head or block or a head gskt . that maybe allowen comp . into the waterjacket . easy way to tell is pull the thermostat put the housing back on fill with water remove the fan belt to the water pump and from a cold engine start the engine make the switch to diesel and rev it up if she pushes water out the rad . then Huston you got a problem . This is not and uncommon problem with them.

Have you checked to make sure the fins on radiator are clean ,is fan belttight enough .The water pump is it loose on the shaft ,might be the thermostat might be stuck .

Read post above , and if it does not push water out looken like old Faithfull then put a thermostat in it as it is not holding the water like it should and this is hard on any engine.

I think tractor vet is on to something here. In a pressurized system you need a thermostat. I have pulled thermostats out of hot running engines twice thinking not having them there would help the engines run cooler. Just the opposite happened, the things ran hotter.
