Does anybody know the maximum brawbar pull and maximum torque output of a new Cat D5. I'm trying to compare a D5 to a Case 650H and the Cat web site does not tell the pull or torque. Thanks for your help guys.

I'm here sitting at my desk at Caterpillar wishing people would give out accurate info.
There are 9 different versions currently of the D-5, from 90 to 110 hp.
Using the basic D5C configuration you have 90 hp and an operating weight of 18,580 lbs including operator, fluids and blade. Your top speed is 5.75 miles per hour with a rated draw bar pull at that speed of 2300 lbs. Peak drawbar pull is 24800 lbs in low range at stall speed. Obviously from my point of view the Cat is the machine of choice over the case.

The D5C is rtated at 95 HP, not sure on the torque specification. The tractor weighs approximately 22,000#. Are you looking for a new tractor????? I have a 1993 D5C LGP for sale. Very nice machine 10' PAT blade, 26" grousers, 80% UC, etc. Contact me if interested. I am located in Minnesota.

Thanks,

Mike
