I am looking for information on adding a three point hitch to a Farmall Cub. I am considering buying a Cub and would like to add a three point hitch to accept newer implements, etc. I believe that the Cubs did not come from the factory with a 3 pt Hitch. I have however seen references about adding a 3pt hitch to them. I am new to this tractor game so any information you experienced folks can provide will be appreciated. I am most interested in finding out where I can purchase the hitch, what it will cost, and what other modifications will need to be done to the tractor for the hitch to work. All pros and cons are welcome. Thanks in advance!

Greetings:

Just remember that a Cub can only lift about 350 pounds. Therefore, do not plan on picking up a 4 foot brush hog. Also remember that the Cub's PTO is non-standard. The shaft is different and the PTO turns in the opposite direction to a standard PTO. Therefore, your farm store PTO-powered implements will not work on a Cub.

Hi Al,
I thought about adding a three point to my cub at one time. After searching I found that it is easier to keep my fasthitch and alter the equipment by adding the one point spike. Most of the available cub pto implements are one point. I only have the one tractor so using the one point works well for me. I'm not saying it is a bad idea but I thought I should let you know the fasthitch spikes are available. Good luck, Bob
