Hi all. I am down to the basic chassis of the Farmall SC I am restoring. I hadn't planned on removing the Top Cover, but while unbolting the L-brackets on each side of the seat support/tool box where the Fast Hitch shaft passes through, I twisted one of the bolts off. Both bolts, one on the left and one on the right, were badly rusted where moisture and dirt collected in the recess pocket where the bolt heads rest. After twisting the first one off with a air tool. I went slower and used heat and slow action with a hand tool to remove the second without twisting it off. In the attached picture you can see the broken bolt in the lower right where I have used some heat. So now I have to remove the top cover to get at the broken bolt. I have never had a top cover off before; Is the top cover just lid over the final drive and transmission? Is there anything I should be watching out for when I remove the top cover?
